Mintlands

Terms of Use

The rules for playing Mintlands, founding towns and trading their coins, in plain words.

Last updated: September 26, 2026

Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use the website mintlands.world, play the Mintlands game or use the Mintlands Android app. "We" and "us" means the team that runs Mintlands.

By using Mintlands you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Mintlands.

Who can use Mintlands

You must be 18 or older and able to agree to these terms. Mintlands involves real crypto tokens, so do not use it where buying, selling or holding them is against the law for you.

You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including any tax on your trades and prizes.

Your account and characters

  • Pressing Play creates a guest account tied to your browser. Clearing your site data or changing browser starts a new one, unless you linked a wallet: connecting the same wallet signs you back in.
  • You can have up to 3 characters per account. Names and looks cannot be changed later.
  • Character names must not be offensive or advertise anything, and must not pretend to be another person, a Mintlands team member or another project. We may rename or remove a character whose name breaks this rule.
  • You are responsible for what happens on your account and with your wallet. Keep your device and your wallet secure.

Wallets and transactions

  • Your wallet is your own software, such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack. We never hold your wallet's keys, and we never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who asks for them is trying to steal from you.
  • Connecting a wallet signs a free sign-in message and sends no transaction. Every trade or founding is shown in your wallet before you approve it. Only approve what you understand.
  • Transactions on Solana are final. We cannot reverse, cancel or refund them, including ones sent by mistake.
  • Trades and foundings cost Solana network fees and the fees shown on each quote: pump.fun's protocol fee and the coin's creator fee. Mintlands adds no trading fee and no founding fee of its own.

Tokens are risky

Every town is a real token (a coin) on the Solana blockchain, created on pump.fun. Tokens are risky and can lose all their value. Prices can move fast, there may be nobody to sell to, and a founder can walk away from a coin at any time.

Nothing in Mintlands is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any token. A town's size, level or score reflects activity in the game, not value or future returns. Holding a coin earns no return, and nothing in Mintlands promises one.

Only use money you can afford to lose completely, and do your own research.

pump.fun, Solana and other third parties

pump.fun and the Solana network are independent third parties. We do not run or control them, their fees, their rules or whether they are working. The same goes for wallet apps, block explorers, price sources and the links founders add. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.

Founding a town

Founding a town creates a real coin on pump.fun from your wallet. You pay the costs the founding form shows (network fees and rent, plus any first buy you choose). The coin is public and permanent: it cannot be deleted, and anyone can trade it, on Mintlands or elsewhere.

You are responsible for the coin name, ticker, town name, description, story, image and links you choose. They must be yours to use, must not mislead (for example by pretending to be another project or a famous person), and must not be illegal or hateful. They are published in the coin's metadata, which cannot be changed or removed once the coin exists.

When you found a town you sign its creator-fee split: a share for you, a share for the town treasury, and 10% for the Mintlands world treasury, which we control. If you do not sign the split, all creator fees go to you until you sign it once from the Mayor's Desk. Once signed, the split is locked on chain and cannot be changed.

Town treasuries and the Mayor's Desk

Each town has a public treasury wallet that receives the town's share of creator fees. Town treasuries are custodial wallets held by us: we keep their keys, encrypted. The founder, the coin's holders and the players do not own a treasury, and holders receive nothing from it.

We use a treasury's key only to carry out spends made under the Mayor's Desk rules shown in the game, and to pay the prizes those spends fund. The Mayor is the wallet that founded the town. In short:

  • The Mayor spends at the Mayor's Desk, on a fixed list of events, works and reward pools, each with its price shown.
  • A spend above 1 SOL, or above 10% of the treasury, needs a citizen vote first, counted on its full amount.
  • Events and works are split in half: half is paid to the Mintlands world treasury as the staging or build cost, and half becomes a prize pool for the players who take part.
  • All the SOL of a reward pool (bounties, raids, tournaments, dungeon delves and world bosses) goes to the players who take part.
  • Every treasury movement is recorded publicly with its transaction.

We may pause treasury transfers, for example for security or maintenance. While they are paused, spends wait and reserved funds stay in the treasury. The rules may change as the game develops; the Mayor's Desk always shows the rules that apply.

Prize pools and reward pools

Prize pools and reward pools pay SOL to the linked wallets of players who take part. The game server records taking part from what happens in the game; nothing is self reported. To receive a payout:

  • you need a linked wallet and a character at least a day old when the pool opens (for a pool the citizens voted for, when the vote opened); some reward pools also need a level, shown in the game;
  • one wallet per account and one account per wallet;
  • payouts follow recorded participation, at most 10% of a pool per wallet;
  • payouts under 0.001 SOL, and whatever nobody can take, stay in the town treasury;
  • the Mayor who funds a pool never receives a share of it, and NPC adventurers never count.

Prizes depend on who takes part, and there may be none for you. They are rewards for playing, not a return on holding a coin, and not a promise of anything.

Prizes won by cheating, bots, several accounts or exploits may be withheld, and those accounts and wallets may be left out of future prizes. You are responsible for any tax on what you receive.

Gold, items and progress

Gold, items, XP and titles exist only in the game. They are not tokens, have no money value, and cannot be withdrawn, sold or traded for money. Apart from the prizes above, playing does not pay out tokens or SOL.

We may change or reset items, gold or progress to fix bugs, undo cheating or keep the game fair.

Rules of conduct

Do not:

  • cheat, or use modified clients, bots, scripts or any automation that plays for you;
  • exploit bugs or glitches instead of reporting them;
  • use several accounts or wallets to get more prizes, votes or rewards;
  • harass, threaten or insult other players, or post hate speech;
  • pretend to be another player, a Mintlands team member, another project or a famous person;
  • scam: ask for seed phrases or private keys, share fake links or giveaways, phish, or lie about a coin to get people to buy or sell it;
  • spam or advertise in chat;
  • attack, overload, probe or scrape the service, or get around its limits;
  • do anything illegal, or post anything you have no right to use.

Moderation

Chat is filtered automatically: blocked words and common scam requests are masked, repeated messages are dropped, and a player who keeps breaking the chat rules is muted for a short time.

When someone breaks these terms we may remove messages, rename characters, stop showing a town's image, text or links on Mintlands, withhold prizes, and suspend or close accounts, with or without warning. We cannot remove a coin from Solana or pump.fun.

To report a player or a scam, or to ask us to look at a decision again, contact @MintlandsMMO on X (opens in a new tab).

What you create

You keep the rights to what you create: character names, chat messages, town names, images and links. You allow us to store, show and share it as part of running Mintlands, and, for what you enter when founding a town, to publish it in the coin's public metadata, where it stays for good.

Our game

The Mintlands game, website, art, music, code and name belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may use them to play, and to share Mintlands in screenshots, videos and posts, but not to copy the game or to pretend to be us.

Changes and availability

Mintlands is in active development. We may add, change or remove features, and parts of the game may be reset. We do not promise that the service will always be available or free of errors, and we may suspend or stop it.

Provided as is

Mintlands is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it fits a particular purpose, is free of errors, is secure or is always available, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for: losses from tokens, trades, prices or foundings; losses caused by pump.fun, the Solana network, wallets or other third parties; lost or stolen wallets or keys; transactions you approve; or indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits.

Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid directly to us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 US dollars.

Some places do not allow some of these limits. There they apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs from claims caused by your breaking these terms or misusing Mintlands.

Ending your use

You can stop using Mintlands at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if the law requires it. The parts of these terms that should last beyond that, such as the risks and the limits of liability, keep applying.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We post the new version here, change the date at the top, and announce important changes on @MintlandsMMO on X (opens in a new tab). If you keep using Mintlands after a change, you accept the new terms.
