How to Play
Mintlands is a free online world in your browser, and every town in it is a real coin. Here is everything you need, in plain words.
Start in 60 seconds
- Press Play nowNo sign up and no wallet. A guest account is made for you in this browser.
- Make a characterPick a look and a name: 3 to 16 letters, digits, spaces or underscores.
- Move and lookWalk with WASD or click the ground. Hold the right mouse button and drag to turn the camera.
- Gather and exploreClick a tree, rock or fishing spot to gather, then head north to The Crossroads.
- Visit a townEvery town is a real coin. Take a quest from its notice board and help it grow.
No wallet needed. Best with a keyboard and mouse.

- A public 0 to 100 score from nine real inputs: holders, liquidity, traders, volume, active players, quests, deliveries, town economy and age. Market cap is not one of them.Read more about Town Score
- SOLAlso: solana
- Solana's own currency. Trades, fees and founding are paid in SOL.Read more about SOL
- WalletAlso: phantom, solflare, backpack
- An app such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack that holds your SOL and coins and asks you to approve every transaction. Only needed to trade or found a town.Read more about Wallet
- Gold
- The game's currency, from fights, quests and raids. It is never a token, is not on chain and cannot be withdrawn. There is nothing to buy with it yet.Read more about Gold
- Fast travel

Questions
Do I need a wallet or crypto to play?
No. Press Play now and a guest character is made for you in this browser. No sign up, no email and no wallet.
A wallet is only needed to trade a town's coin or to found a town.

Playing is free: moving, gathering, fighting, quests, fast travel and chat cost nothing.
A trade costs the SOL you trade plus the fees each quote shows: the protocol fee to pump.fun, the creator fee to the town's split, and Solana's network fee.
Founding a town costs about 0.021 SOL in network fees and rent, plus any first buy you choose.

Follow the Getting started checklist under your portrait: take a walk, look around, gather a resource, open your map, head north to The Crossroads, then visit a town and take a quest from its notice board.

Yes, on the server. A guest character is tied to this browser, so clearing your site data or switching browser starts a new guest account.
Link a wallet if you want to get your characters back on another browser or device: connecting the same wallet signs you back in.
